Becky Walsh - Director
I’ve been turning the dry world of self-development on its head with a down-to-earth and uniquely funny style for almost twenty years. I show people how to step into their personal power, without it being cringe making or feeling like an egotist. You need your own power. With out it, you can’t empower anyone else or make any significant change in the world or even in your own life. I teach how to find your purpose and communicate it. I show you how to trust yourself and your intuition. I do this by blending psychology and breakthrough science, not only in one-to-one sessions, but also in my teaching and speaking.
I couldn’t teach this if I hadn’t lived it! I was a shy unconfident kid. In my twenties I had seriously low self-esteem. A career in theatre taught me how to fake my way through. I read every self-help book I could get my hands on until I wrote many of my own.
I changed my mind set and my life and then turned to the media to help other people change theirs. Being in the public eye is no place for the faint hearted. So I found my power to shine.
I’m the author of five published books including ‘You Do Know – learning to act on intuition instantly’ published by Hay House, which pioneers some revolutionary ideas on the brain in the gut and the brain in the heart. I blog for Huffington Post and Psychologies magazine.
I’m a regular media pundit on the subject of personal development and growth. I'm a past presenter on LBC radio and currently freelance for BBC Radio Bristol and Somerset. I have also been a reporter for the BBC Radio 2 Jeremy Vine show.
I had my own TV show on the Made Television network, called ‘Anything goes with Becky Walsh’, which was a late night call-in show. I started with a shorter show on the channel called 'Becky's life hacks'.
I’ve appeared at the world-renowned seminar ‘I Can Do It’ and I have addressed audiences in Hong Kong, Chile, Pakistan, Australia and America. I have been a coach for the TEDx Bristol event at the Colston Hall ‘Dare to Disrupt’. For the live show, I put my production head on and was show caller and producer.
I have lived in Australia, Hong Kong, America and at sea. Now, my home is in the UK.
I started my career as a West End stage manager and lighting tech. Drawn to theatre because I wanted to create the feeling that an audience has, when they have seen a production and feel changed by it. A shift of perspective has taken place, or even just some thigh-slapping entertainment! This pull led me to the world of self-development. I love transformation – my own, and inspiring others.
I have a degree in Interdisciplinary Studies from the California Institute of Integral Studies in San Francisco. I’ve trained in psychology and psycho-synthesis. I’m a qualified life coach and have expanded the learning into a unique way of working. It’s unique because you are!
I ‘cut my teeth’ in building sustainable and inspiring business relationships through lobbying
and development work for the Westminster think-tank The Employment Policy
Later I took with a wealth of knowledge along with my natural networking and facilitation skills to the Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands in London in my role as Cultural Attaché, substantially increasing Dutch cultural presence and bilateral partnerships in the UK.
I now specialise in business to business consulting so show companies how to create deep and lasting relationships and coop opportunities.
In addition to this, I take individuals through a training process that gives them the confidence to shine in any networking situation. Meeting new people is often uncomfortable, meeting new people and having to sell yourself can feel cringe-able. I take the ring out and put the personal power in.
These are half-day workshops. Interactive and practical to your own needs. My approach is always personal, even when addressing large groups.
